Logging Safety: A Field Guide
|
This Field Guide was developed by the New York State Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation Program (NY FACE) to assist all workers who do tree-related work to perform their jobs safely. It provides detailed information in an easily readable format on identifying, assessing, and reducing hazards associated with tree-related work including felling, bucking, limbing, clean-up, chainsaw use and maintenance, use of personal protective equipment and more. It can be used as a classroom training manual as well as a reference guide in the field.

North American Guidelines for Children's Agricultural Tasks
|
The North American Guidelines for Children's Agricultural Tasks were developed under the direction of the direction of the National Childrens Center for Rural and Agricultural Health and safety to assist adults in assigning farm jobs to children 7 to 16 years, living or working on farms.

The Purdue University Extension (tractor safety)
|
A one unit course on tractor machinery and safety topics that be completed in about one hour. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, youth ages 14 and 15 must complete an approved course in tractor and machinery safety before they can be hired to complete any job that may be hazardous.
