| Research
began at NYCAMH in the early 1980s with the study of dust-related health
problems affecting farmers. Since then, NYCAMH has studied issues such as
hearing loss, occupational arthritis, skin cancer, asthma, injury and
fatality, workplace hazards, exposures to hazards during pregnancy, and
emotional stress in New York's agricultural community.
The NYCAMH Research Core conducts a number of ongoing projects throughout the year. Our research is funded by federal, state, and private funding sources. This section describes our current research in progress, from the beginning stages to preliminary findings. Grant funding cycles generally run from one to five years. Research projects that have completed their cycles can be found here. This section includes charts, graphs, and items of interest from completed research. BibliographyThe bibliography contains a listing of published papers, book chapters, and monographs by NYCAMH-NEC staff from 1985 to 2006. |
