Farm Partners

Farm Partners offers confidential assistance to farmers and their families with stress-related issues at no cost to the farmer.

Serving Otsego, Schoharie, Chenango, Delaware, Montgomery, Fulton, Herkimer, Oneida, and Madison counties in New York State, the Farm Partners program allows nurses and/or social workers to provide stress counseling and supportive therapy to farmers, their family members, and farm laborers at their home, free of charge.

The Farm Partners staff has either a farming background, or several years experience working within the farming community, and are therefore easily accepted because of their understanding of the unique stressors faced in agriculture today.

Provided on the farm and at the farmer's convenience, case management services include:

  • arrangement of follow-up visits
  • appropriate referrals
  • evaluation of physical health needs
  • advocacy for the client as needed
  • assessment of farm environment, family dynamics and coping skills

For more information on this program, please e-mail Patrick O'Hara or call him at 800.343.7527 ext. 235 or 607.547.6084 ext. 235.
